Once again it was a great pleasure to coordinate with Medra and the Creator Jam crew to put on this event. I produced and directed the live multi-cam video broadcast of this awards ceremony, held in order to celebrate the winners of the Metaverse Maker Competition, a month-long creator contest held annually in NeosVR.
I deeply enjoy the challenges and opportunities of combining live multi-cam broadcast with the incredible power of virtual reality. For this event, I used two live camera operators and about 12 other angles that were either static or 'pinned' to certain avatars. The prep time took us about one month, with a few very long rehearsal days towards the end. I'm extremely proud of our efforts and I believe we are exploring brand new territory with these kinds of productions.
