Greenwich House Music School "Uncharted"

Service

Moving to New York City from Los Angeles in 2005 kickstarted my directing and producing career. The energy and creativity of the city inspired me and the blunt, straight talking producers I worked with forced me to up my game. Now I make it a point to give back to the city I love at every opportunity. Every year I reach out to several non-profit organizations and donate my time and energy to produce and direct promotional films they can use to raise money and awareness.

For this project, I worked with one of the oldest and most respected community arts schools in the city, Greenwich House Music School. Founded in 1905, Greenwich House teaches music, art and dance to both children and adults and is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education.

Their “Uncharted” concert series offers audiences the chance to see high-profile artists debuting first-time performances of new work or new collaborations. I produced this promotional video for them, and they are using it to promote their new season. I was thrilled to offer some of my students the opportunity to work with me, so credit and kudos to director Melissa Rodriguez (Brooklyn College, MFA, Television Production, 2014) and editor Michael Zhonga (Brooklyn College, MFA, Television Production, 2016) for their incredible work.
