TEDxFultonStreet: Zak Kostura

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. When NYC wanted to bring the outside sunlight into its newest transit hub near the World Trade Center, Architectural Engineer Zak Kostura and his team needed to merge the disciplines of materials science, structural engineering, architectural aesthetics, and construction logistics into one enormous project. In this presentation, Zak gives us a sneak peek at what went into the creation of this unique landmark structure - before its official public unveiling (scheduled for late 2014).
